+vity

At some point in time we face certain changes. Sometimes good sometimes not so good. Circumstances like seeing a friend leave, experiencing a failure etc. You can name it yourself.

But i'm always encouraged by the saying that goes : " You can choose to go through hard times either with a positive state, or a negative state". Which goes to tell you that : "Hey! With sadness and self pity, or with confidence and optimism, you can still go through hard times". So why not choose positivity when we go through hard times? Isn't it better? Besides, positivity can heal you faster than negativity.

So always be positive. I know it's hard. But...try, ok?

Respectable Footballer

I don't usually write about football stuff here. But one incident happened made me not just to think about it but to write it.

New FIFA World Player of the Year, Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite, or better known as Kaka, is one exceptional footballer.

Previous winners of this glamorous award such as Zidane, Cannavaro, Ronaldo, or Ronaldinho, are still great footballers and have earned my respect. But for Kaka, i can't help but to give him a double salute.

I was watching the FIFA Gala Award Ceremony, and saw how Kaka won the award. I listened to his short less-than-one-minute speech and i felt really amazed. Kaka said nothing but - " I only dreamed of playing for Sao Paolo and play just one international game, but the Bible says God does things more than our expectation, and that is what happened to me". That's it! So what did he say in this short speech? - I am just a nothing but God is my everything.

Kaka's dream was just a sand in God's eyes. Instead, God gave Kaka every football award under the sun : World Cup, Champions League, Serie A titles, Club World Championship, European Player of the Year, FIFA World Player of the Year, and many more.

I can see that what Kaka did was just 3 things. In his heart the priorities in sequence are : God, Family, Football. That's all. No parties, no clubbing, no advertisement or public glory can interest him. He only focuses on technical skills and not advertising skills like Beckham (who can't play any football nuts). He plays simple football such as simple passes, simple dribbles, and shots. Unlike other footballers who want special skills and tricks.

Kaka is one exceptional footballer on and off the pitch. The future evangelist is the footballer that i respect the most. More than Shevchenko or Ronaldinho.

Bravo Kaka!!

Good, Bad, Ugly?

People these days are very good at marketing.

I was at the PC Fair, just walking around looking for laptop with my dad. There were so many people and that place was crowded.

But what was amazing was that, most promoters put on very very sexy clothings, and they actually could attract some customers. Some even wore just a short tube and very tight shorts.

You can argue that it was a terrible thing to do. But let me remind you that it was an effective way of getting customers to you. Most of the customers actually responded to them, and they were "busy" promoting their products (PC stuff lah!!).

So is that a good thing to do? Let me remind you again, it was an effective way that those people used to do great promotions.

The verdict is yours. Ethical or unethical, you have your own answer.

Went to watch Beowulf yesterday night. Boy, it was fantastic! Except that it was all graphics and animations. If they were real people, i don't think they would be able to do all those 'unrealistic' stunts.

However, what i didn't like about that movie was, there were Christian elements included in the movie, which were used in vain. For example, the defamation of Jesus Christ that was unable to help the people of the village, and also using of the "cross" to protect themselves from the evil one in the movie, which obviously didn't work for them.

I don't understand why would people keep using Jesus Christ and include Him in their movies. And most of the time it was used in vain. There are so many "gods" such as Buddha, Siva, etc, but why is Jesus Christ always used in movies?

I believe these people do know that Jesus has the power to cast out the devil, but i think they don't know it is not by physical cross or whatever sort that Jesus casts out devils. It is by the heavenly authority that devils are cast out.

Just in case producers didn't know, using of the Name in vain is a sin. I don't mind if movie producers use the Name of Jesus in the movie, but if they use it incorrectly, then they have to pay the price.

AIDS

One of the subjects i'm taking for this semester is International Marketing. I've learnt alot of things from this subject. I prefer subjects like this rather than subjects that are dead, such as human resource or accounts.

In one of the class sessions, we learnt something about Africa. Africa is a country filled with AIDS victims. That is one place that you want to be extra careful when you go travelling there. What i've learnt about it was: Why are there so many AIDS victims in Africa?

Firstly, can't deny it, sex. Many parts in Africa have prostitutes that offer...free sex!! Men in Africa can pick any girls they want to have sex with, and some, for free! Imagine the value that girls have there in Africa, basically nothing. And how sinful this can become. No reason why AIDS is not a number one killer in Africa.

Secondly, hospitals in some parts of Africa, are dirty! Doctors do not burn or change the needles when injecting. They use used needles to treat different patients. That's why some rich people would take flights to go other places in Africa to see a doctor.

A victim with AIDS

This picture scared the daylight out of me when i first saw it.

Children with AIDS. Poor thing.

Mother and child with AIDS

I can't figure out if this is a woman or a man. But anyhow, a victim with AIDS.

I'm not sure how Africa can help themselves with this problem. I'm not even sure how the world can help Africa in this. But my heart was deeply sad, and a sense of compassion that overwhelmed me, when i heard about this in class.
As much as i would say God bless Malaysia, so will i say, God bless Africa.

Misinterpreted?

It's funny what blog can do to you. I'm starting to get the feel out of it. LoL

Look at the comments that i got from my previous post.

Whether peaceful or not, demonstration can still bring lots of disadvantages to the nation. There was a tremendous lack of security that shadowed our nation. I understand we have the freedom to do so in our democratic country. But what benefits do we get from demonstration?

In order to disperse the crowd, there was violence. Police hitting people. People got injured. The government may say they dispersed the crowd in a polite way. *yeah right* So what benefit do you get?

We all know that Al-Jazeera exaggerated our condition here. Yes it can be their fault. But that's what other people see us from outside. Did we give a good image to the world outside?

Like i mentioned, if the bad outweighs the good, then no point doing it.

Rioting

From my own opinion, the intention was there, but the action was wrong.

I have to admit, there is no perfect government, no perfect country, and to be smaller in scope, there is no perfect system in this world.

Whether or not what these people claimed was true about our election system, only God knows. But to show demonstration is such a stupid and unreasonable act.

I know they wanted to show something and to prove something in our political system, but the way to do it was wrong. Just like our dear friend Wee Meng Chee with his Negarakuku song. What he said was true, but he did it in a wrong way.

There are many ways to object our government policy. But not to the extent of creating havoc and causing massive traffic jam and giving trouble to innocent people. Let alone this kind of action would disgrace our Malaysian name.

So what is my stand on the recent riot? Okay maybe i would give credit for their intention, maybe there REALLY WAS a problem in our government and election system. But i would not comment on that. So i would sum it up by saying : doing right thing, the wrong way.

However, riot can be beneficial. It creates an alarm to our current government that somebody is watching their actions. This makes them careful and put on their guard at all times. Otherwise power abuse would happen.

So everything has good and bad. But if the bad outweighs the good, then better not lah.

Brain Matters

Pause. Trying to take a break. Sticking my head out of the water filled with presentations, assignments, and tests.

Short semesters are terrible. Everything is double-paced. Hardwork must also be doubled. The hard part is, hardwork doesn't speed up easily. So how? Now struggling lo.

We've probably heard this many times, and i heard my lecturer said this again: We humans are using only 10% of our brain capabilities.

Which means..if we are to segmentize our brains..we only use where the red circle is

Crazy ah! Now we're only using 10% also we get tired easily. I mean mentally tired. How to use 90%? Oklah, how to use 50%?!

I wonder whether one day we all will have a brain detector. Where everyday we can measure how many percentage of brain capabilities we have used. Like that we can make progress each day. Sounds good eh? Scientist wanabe's, take note of this!

So ya, that's my proposal. Please someone create a mobile brain usage detector so we can all...use our brains more... *w00t*

Increasing of Prices

Sigh. Prices are going up nowadays. At first was the petrol, then came noodles and breads, and now....electricity!!!

I was wondering what would it be like when i have my own family and job and parents to take care of next time. Prices are going up and things are getting more expensive each day. My generation and the generations to come are going to face alot of financial difficulties. Inflations will happen more, and value of money becomes smaller. Let alone the oil and gas reserves in Malaysia can last up to 10 years only, according to a research.

The cost of living in the future is going to be skyrocketed. Prices are all going up, BUT salaries are still the same. Isn't this funny?

I just hope that God will create good technologies in the future to help solve the increasing cost of living. Maybe alternatives to petrol, food, and electricity *wOOt* can be produced.

What will happen when there really aren't enough resources that we can use in the future? This is one thing we can hold on to very close to ourselves...that God is our provision.

Loss

It's not that i respect Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong alot, i don't really look up to him. Okay maybe for his hardwork from zero, and turned this nation into a well-known tourism destination. Mainly from his development of Genting Highlands, Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong was no stranger to the casino world.

But, as i was reading The Sun newspaper (because it's free), i came across this sentence from him, taken from his autobiography called My Story. He told his wife earlier in his development days of Genting Highlands, that he met a landslide during his trip to the hill. He was almost dead, and went to hell. In hell, he was told that his work in this world was not finished, and was sent back to earth to finish his work.

I've been hearing news that people went to heaven and were told by God that their work was not finished. But this was my first time hearing news that people went to hell and were sent back to earth to finish their work.

So i was wondering, what great task that Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong was given by the devil, until he was sent back to earth from hell. Later i found out, he was developing Genting Highlands when that incident happened, and that was to develop casinos. The devil was actually happy that the deceased was helping him develop casinos, until the devil was happy to send him back to the earth.

Secondly, i was greatly hit by his statement earlier. He knew he was going to hell, he knew what hell was going to be like for him, yet he didn't regret his religion or belief. Maybe he was not exposed much to the truth of heaven and hell, or there was a Saviour waiting for him.

All in all, his death was a great loss to our nation. But i believe he was a greater loss to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Relationsss..

Staying in Sg. Long really gives me the inconvenience of not being able to go online often. Thus i won't be able to update my blog regularly.

Thank God for free time that i can come online to post something.

Recently i haven't been able to sleep very soundly. Been thinking alot about...my friends.

I don't know why but as i grow older, i tend to appreciate relationships alot. I'm talking about general relationships like family and friends. From young, i've been a person that trully treasures friendship. I take friendships very very seriously. I never ever want to lose a friend, or even allow a friendship to be shaken.

I suppose that's what we go through in our human cycle. Our maturity rises and we have the tendency to think differently from younger mindset.

Right now, i love to spend time, quality time, with friends and family. I don't mind buying them a drink or doing something with them that would help bond our relationships. I would love to tell them how much i appreciate them and treasure every moment and every length of relationship.

Firstly, is of course my family. Then comes my extended families like Andrea Chew, Wong Ju Yi, Pui Kuan, Pei Yoong etc. Not forgetting ALL my friends.

I encourage everyone to treasure what they have right now, which is more important than any material satisfaction. God is a relationship-oriented God. Let us all also treasure our horizontal relationships. It is not the material or fantasies that we want to see with us at our death bed next time, but it is our relationship that we want to have the last glimpse before we leave this earth.

Gambling Kills!

I went up to Genting Highland today. Wanted to have some chill and fun. Then i decided to pay the casino a little visit, just to see what and how a casino is like.

Instead of being amazed at the luxurious surroundings (first time being in a casino), i was shocked to see tens of thousands of people indulging themselves in an addiction that will cost not only their money, but their families and also their lives!

Thousands upon thousands of people were gambling like never before. I was deeply troubled to see that they didn't even know what gambling would bring. Of course you can argue it's an addiction, they can't help it. But they would have at least been exposed to some sort of knowledge that gambling kills! As a chinese saying that goes : "10 games 9 losses".

I was walking around from table to table to see the people there. It was so crowded and packed! I really wanted to stand on a gambling table and shout: "Gambling is not good!!". But i chicken out.

I just couldn't feel at ease. These people were putting their rice bowls at stake. They were putting themselves and their families in danger. It's going to be worse if their addictions deepen.

I came out of the casino feeling sad and disappointed. I vowed to God that i would never ever open a casino business, eventhough this business is very, very profitable.

Parents Oh Parents

Do you agree with me that parents these days aren't doing well in communicating with their children? Almost every child experiences some sort of family miscommunication.

It feels really terrible when children fight with their parents. Most of the time for some wrong reason. I'm not sure about others, but for me, my mom is the one that always misunderstands me and some sparkle would come out of that.

It's not that i don't love my parents, i love them more than i love any other things except God. But somehow in their eyes i'm not always a good boy. What's the reason? Because they don't really know the real boy that is within me.

I pray my parents, and the parents of this world will take time to understand and communicate with their children more.

Take Action

Holidays don't really suit me i found out. Before holidays i planned so many things i wanted to do, but in the end i didn't get to do them! *bleh*

Planning is a big part of our everyday lives. But planning is not the most important thing i believe. The execution or the action of the planning is the most important thing.

Too many people fall at the execution part, because too many people just can't get their butts off the comfort zone and start doing something. So what can make people put action to their planning?

Something needs to be the driving force within, and that driving force varies from one person to another.

What's your driving force for action?

H.O.P.E

It feels so difficult not being able to be together with the person you like.

It feels so difficult when what you wish to accomplish is just a dream for you.

It feels so difficult when you do not have the key to everything.

But what can we do? There's nothing....

....only HOPE...

because...

He Owns Permanently Everything

Farewell, Special One

After 4 years....not one year without a trophy. What else do you ask for? Just because of no Champions League trophy? Can't you give him some time? All you care about is your dividends and trophies...Mr. Abramovich? You think Alex Ferguson got his European trophy when he first came in? So does Rafa Benitez? and Arsene Wenger? You think Carlo Ancelotti got his European trophy when he first came in as AC Milan manager? Get real..and get a life!

The Chelsea moment.

They used to be great friends. Walking together around the pitch, sharing jokes and laughters.

Until one day,

Roman : I'm getting Shevchenko and Ballack into the team.

Jose : Shevchenko and Ballack?? No way! They're good players, but not suitable for Chelsea's play. Oh no no way!

Roman : Yes, i am the boss. You play them and fit them wherever they can. And start winning the Uefa Champions League!

That matter got Jose "Special One" Mourinho unsettled. Everyday he endured migraine thinking of how to fit Shevchenko and Ballack into the team. Later on, he became frustrated and has since then been pressured by his boss, Roman Abramovich. They never talked, never looked eye to eye, and never smiled at each other. Until 20/9/2007, Roman Abramovich became the Donald Trump, Chelsea version. "Jose, you're fired!!"

Jose Mourinho is one of the few managers, to be exact, the ONLY manager that i salute and respect highly. No other managers that i would respect highly like i respect Jose. Roman Abramovich certainly doesn't know nuts about football! If EPL or Chelsea was a computer game, i would control Jose Mourinho...

First, turn Jose into a karate mode

Use his secret weapon, nah just a gun, aim at Roman's head, and *bang!*

Then give Roman a nice punch in the face

Spit water at Roman's stinking head

and then end my move with a final slap in the face.

As the Street Fighter game would go,
"Jose! You win! Perfect!"

I will miss you badly, Jose Mourinho.

Your departure is more shocking than former Japanese Prime Minister, Abe's departure.

On Eagle's Wings

If you know me well enough, you'd know that my favourite animal is the eagle. Unlike other people who prefer dogs, cats, fish, i prefer something strong, fierce, and mighty. Hence, the eagle.

The eagle is called "The King of the Skies". No other birds are like this bird of prey. Not even the vultures.

Why do i like the eagle? Everytime when i look at the eagle, it gives me strength and courage. There's a reason for this. During turbulance or any storm, all birds would basically go to their hiding place. But not the eagle.

What would an eagle do in times of storm? The eagle would spread out its wings, and soar steadily. The eagle would face the storm with endurance and courage. Have you seen the eagle soar, with its wings wide open? That's how it would soar even in times of turbulance and storms.

The next thing is the eagle's vision. The eagle's eyesight can see a small fish in the water even when flying 100 feet up the sky. An eagle can see far, beyond every animal could see. This great vision reminds me of how we should live. We should set a vision for our lives. To live a life with purpose. As we can see beyond the years, we live with a hope, and of course a trust in the Lord.

Therefore, these are the reasons why i love the eagle. It encourages me to soar with wings wide open in times of storms, and never back down. Besides, it helps me create a vision for my life, to live my life with a purpose, and to hold on to a hope that will never cease.

Therefore when you're in trouble or difficulties, think of the eagles. Soar like them, firmly and steadily.

Songs of Motivation

Do you have a song that accompanies you through your hard times? It's good to have songs that will help you and encourage you when you're in difficulties or any sort of challenges. Everytime when you're stressed up or finding yourself facing a big problem, or when your heart is troubled because of the big issues you're going through, sit down, relax, and just listen to the songs. Well for me, two songs always accompany me when i'm finding myself in hardships or challenges. These songs will never fail to lift me up whether spiritually or emotionally. They are:

1) My Hope, from Hillsong Australia, with the chorus that goes:

My hope is in the Name of the Lord
Where my help comes from
You're my strength, my song
My trust is in the Name of the Lord
I will sing your praise
You are faithful

2) Still, from Hillsong Australia, with the chorus that goes:

When the ocean rise and thunders roar
I will soar with you above the storm
Father You are King over the flood
I will be still, know You are God

These two songs are my encouragement to help me face my mountains and oceans. They give me strength and confidence to face anything, yes anything. Because there's nothing my God cannot do.

Coming up next....a post on Eagles

Greatest Role Model

These days there are less and less role models for people, especially the young generation, to look up to. No matter how great or successful a person can be, you and i know, no one is perfect.

But i have a friend who is great in everything he does. Let me tell you the qualities. He is a great:

1) Businessman - He multiplied 5 breads and 2 fish and was able to feed the 5000 people
2) Doctor - He healed the sick, blind, crippled etc.
3) Engineer - He builds and was a carpenter for 30 years
4) Lawyer - He argued and the teachers of the law kept silent and couldn't answer him back
5) Lecturer - He spoke and everyone listened
6) Tour guide - He led more than 12 people around Middle East everyday
7) Sportsman - He walked from town to town everyday. Not even a marathon champion can do that.
8) Psychologist - He knows what you're thinking even if you don't say it
9) Singer - He never failed to sing songs of praise and never failed to celebrate the passover feast
10) Politician - Everyone favoured him until the local government felt threatened.

This is just a little glimpse of my best friend here. I can go all the way down the page. You want to find a role model? Get to know this guy. He knows me well. If you want to know him too, let me know, or give me a call at 017-2053982. Oh he just called me, he said he wants to know you too. Don't wait!

The World Mourned..some still mourning.

6 years ago today, i remember i was revising for my PMR. That time was about 10 pm plus. And out of the sudden my parents began making noises. I was curious and went down to see what happened. But as i saw the tv, i was shocked to see :

*America Under Attack!*

My heart dropped like never before as i saw one of the twin towers in New York City, called the World Trade Centre, on fire. People were running here and there. I could even see people in the building yelling for help. Not long later, another plane came and... *crash!!*

I couldn't believe my eyes. That was one of the deadliest attacks i've ever seen. Later on, both buildings came tumbling down. That was the end of the lives of 3000 or more people. Not counting attacks at the Pentagon in Washington.

Until now i still remember that incident. But the worst part is, the man behind those attacks is still hiding in the cave.

Shut up son of Laden! I pray that one day i will see Mr. Bush the Genius standing on stage like this:

Serves you right!!

A New First Lady of Opposite Gender

There were some people who were discussing what would they call a lady president's husband since the presidents of the United States have mostly been men. They used to call the wife of a president "First Lady". So what would they call the next president's husband? If the president is a lady.

But Hillary Clinton appears calm to face the terrorists.

But still, what would the people call her husband, Bill Clinton? A former president of the United States.

Huh???

And from then on..the people start chanting "Ah Biu" "Ah Biu" "Ah Biu" wherever he goes.

Leaked Questions

Recently there has been a big hoo-haa on UPSR's questions being leaked. Well it's not the first time questions are being leaked though. During my time of PMR and SPM, questions were also leaked. But how come government only take action this year?

Luckily during my time it wasn't that terrible. Otherwise i would've got worse results. Mostly were the tuition teachers who leaked the questions. And i think tuition centres aren't offering reasonable salaries to the teachers that's why they leaked the questions to get extra earnings.

So government, if you want to solve the case, go to the tuition centres first. Trust me.

All The Best, Dr. M

Just want to take some time out to wish our former Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir, all the best as he goes through the coronary bypass operation.

This man is one of the great world leaders that i admire. Admire his vision and his ability to draw Malaysia into the world map.

With the chief doctor performing the operation (the same doctor that performed heart operation for my dad), i'm sure God will also grant him the wisdom to make this operation a success.

God bless you Dr. M and may you have a speedy recovery.

Malaysiaku

Malaysia has finally walked through half a century of independence journey. Just want to pay tribute to my motherland. Malaysia is considered one of the fastest growing nations in the world. Due to great leaders and great unity, despite the races, Malaysia has survived "on her own".

If you ask me whether i'm satisfied living in Malaysia, i have to say no. There are some things that i'm not happy with the nation, and i'm sure many people feel the same. But all in all, this is still my country and God has placed me here for a reason.

Look at the world today. Earthquakes, wars, riots, and divisions all happening in different parts of the world. But Malaysia is still safe and people are just great living together. These two elements are what other countries are searching for, yet here in Malaysia we have them. God has certainly blessed this nation, because His people pray.

My greatest hope is that Malaysia will continue to be safe and peaceful, free from violence and destructions, whether natural or man-made. And also hope that our government will rule diligently and wisely, not forsaking the greatest contributors of the country's economy. You know who i mean.

So Dear God, bless Malaysia.

Sued For His Patriotism

This news has been going on for quite a while. Everyone is talking about it. Have you seen the video? I guess someone re-posted it on YouTube.

Now this guy, he is very creative. Gotta give him credits for his ability to sing as well. To be honest, i sort of agree what he said in the video. However, the way he expressed his thoughts was a little...foolish. Malaysia is a democratic country, and yes freedom is a part...a small part of what we practice. But to that extent of freedom of speech as practiced by our dear brother Wee was a little too much to take.

But his apology was accepted. Nonetheless our government will still take legal action against him. Let's see where this will lead us.

Lesson in a Day

It's really amazing how God can change us, and what God can do in our lives. Sometimes even changing from someone you're not, into someone you are. Sometimes God changes you from not being good at one thing, and then helping you become good or learn something new in just one day.

I was given a task. I need to complete it in 2 days. Now i won't mention what's that, of course something to do with business. I was really hopeless and frustrated because i wasn't good at doing that.

Here comes the most important part: Forgetting that you're not good at doing something, and let God do it for you. Afterall, God is the best businessman in the world.

So the results of trusting God? I managed to complete that task in just one day!

Learnt a good experience.

What In the World....?

Tang Lai Meng, a former student of UTAR Bdr. Sg. Long, was found raped and murdered.

I just can't explain how sad and upset i was when i heard about this news. At the back of my mind i was thinking "What in the world is happening to this earth?".

To be honest, cruelty and wickedness are bound to happen, and they are bound to happen more in the future. I was reminded of the scripture when i was praying to God when i heard the news, of the increase of wickedness due to come.

Matthew 24:12, "Because of the increase of wickedness....". There's no way for the world to be a better place. God has indeed said all these things will happen. They will.

What kind of world are we living in? Wicked and more wicked. The only reason of all the evil happening in this world is because...JESUS IS COMING!!

Although i'm very clear of the reason of the increase of wickedness, yet in my heart i still feel saddened and upset of the evil that people are doing. There's no better way of concluding all these than to say.....

.......THIS WORLD NEEDS JESUS!!

Grateful to YOU

It's really amazing what God can do in your life unconsciously. You might see like there's going to be a tough journey ahead, but somehow behind you God is working something that you don't even know yourself, until you get there.

I'm having a great feeling of contentment and gratitude towards my God who has indeed carried me through tough times. It was like a journey where you sit on a cloud and you just fly by the big and mighty sea. Scary down under, but peaceful on the cloud.

God is good all the time.

Oh Dear Malaysia

My aunt went to a fortune-teller not too long ago (she isn't a Christian). I was very taken aback when the fortune-teller said that we should stay away from the sea in 2009. While in 2010, there will be a racial battle. Some sort of a repeat of May 13 incident.

Now, i do not deny there is power in the evil spirit. The devil does have some powers such as fortune-telling.

But it wouldn't harm me to pray even harder for this nation. God will and He has to do something in this nation. Because of the laws and policies of the government that forbid a certain race here to believe in Jesus Christ.

Let this nation be a peaceful nation because God's people pray. Malaysia needs to see Jesus.

What A World We Live In

I haven't been watching the news lately due to lack of time and..there's no tv for me to watch in Sg. Long. But thank God that this week i can spend my week at home with all the comfort that i used to enjoy only on the weekends.

Dinner time was over, so i switched on the news and enjoyed my after-dinner-rest time. I was shocked to see the different kinds of weird news that appeared.

First, there is this restaurant that sells fried fish. Ok so what's the problem there? Let me finish. They only fry the body part of the fish, and leave the head alive. They have this tactic of doing it. They catch the fish alive from the pond, do all the cleaning, and cover the fish head with a cloth and only deep fry the body. Keep in mind the fish is still ALIVE. It moves. Its head isn't fried, just the body. You can actually see the mouth or head of the fish moving while you're EATING the body. How disgusting can that be? And the customers are actually enjoying it! This is sick. The fish has to be the victim of people's cruelty. Imagine you yourself being fried alive and being eaten by people. And the worst part is your mind is still conscious. Cruel and evil isn't it?

Second, there is still place that rears hundreds of monkeys in a small cage. What's the purpose for? To be eaten. Not unusual to see people eating monkeys. It's quite a common news. But one thing that disgusted me was to actually see hundreds of monkeys fit in a cage. Those poor fellows have barely places to move around.

It came to my mind. People are getting cruel and evil for the sake of something out of the mind. People actually explore ways just to be "different". And people are actually enjoying what these sick freaks do. Cruel Cruel Cruel.

But what can i say? The end time is near. Evidence is around the corner. Very clear and very obvious. There's no room for slackness in the Christian walk.

Rain..thank God!

I stepped into my room, and boy, the weather was cooling! Why? because it rained heavily in the afternoon. Imagine what rain can do. Malaysia was about to get a, don't know how many times, haze. The weather was pretty bad that it would cause you to fall a sick. Such a relief to see rain drops came pouring down.

But now the question is...how long can we enjoy this cool and clear weather?

Very short. Why? Climate instability.

Tiirrreeddd...

I get tired very easily these few days. Eventhough i take short nap in the afternoon yet i still feel tired by late evening. Not sure what's the reason.

I blame the bad weather first, before any answer comes to me. LoL

Bed of Roses

Stress is certainly not good. To an extent it's not good. Of course it has a good side of it. But over-stressing yourself sometimes brings you more harm than good. Physically and mentally.

So now i'm taking a few minutes to pause and smell the roses. Although it's full of concrete and papers. But mentally lah haiyo! It's a great feeling to do nothing sometimes. Very relaxing to sit or lie down for a while and not think of anything.

And that's what i'm going to do now. Catch up with ya soon.

Smile - Nat King Cole

This song is very uplifting:

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile eventhough it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, you'll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through for you

Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

In God I Trust

If you had The Star newspaper dated 23rd June 2007, turn to the BizWeek section and you'll find the title What Dad Taught Me. It talks about how these different great businessmen have their dads as personal mentors who would teach them about the business world. It's really a great blessing to have a father who can teach his children about business skills.

Among them is my role model Tan Sri Francis Yeoh. He has a dad who could teach him about business, while he himself is also a dad teaching his daughter about business with addition to his own business experience.

It occured to me. I don't have a father who can teach me about business. I don't have a father who can talk to me and influence me in the business world. Because my dad is not a businessman, and thus have very little or no knowledge about business. None of my ancestors was businessman. So how in the world did i get this passion about business?

It occured to me again. My passion for business did not come because i wanted to be rich. My passion for business did not come because i wanted to. My passion came to me as a result of God's gift of giving towards me. God was the one who put this passion within me. Mainly because God has given me the desire to finance God's work and to play a big monetary role in the establishment of God's kingdom in the future.

So do i have a father who can teach me about business? Do i have a father who can influence me in business? The answer is NO!

But i was reminded again that, God was the one who has given me this passion. God was the one who put within me the desire in business in order to finance God's great work in this world. Therefore, do i have a father who is expert in business? Now my answer is YES! My Heavenly Father is the one who will teach me and influence me in business, because He was the one who gave me this passion, and He should be responsible for my path and equip me with knowledge. This is a great challenge for me. But i should be even blessed because eventhough i have no earthly father who will influence me with business skills, but i have a Heavenly Father who will be my personal mentor.

So, In God I Trust.

Signs...

Songs nowadays are pretty useless and meaningless. I don't really like the music nowadays. Don't really like the genre as well.

Instead, i prefer oldies, like Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and also classical music.

I don't know why, probably i'm getting old. LoL

Earth vs Heaven

Earthly law : If you confess your sins, you're charged and sentenced to jail and penalties.

Heavenly law : If you confess your sins, you're forgiven and set free.

Nuisance

Life is a journey of experiences. At some different points of this journey, there will be people who will dislike you, and most of the time for no apparent reason. It's really irritating that this minority group of people can actually make you feel unease and give you sleepless nights, depending on how much the hurt they create.

We can't control what people would think of us. Why do we let nuisance affect our lives when we have done nothing wrong? It's really unnecessary to be worrying all the rubbish.

Beckham and His Mini's

This is the first time the Beckham and mini-Beckhams get to walk on the pitch as the Spanish Champions after 3 years.

Beckham Sr. : Kids, this is the first time you guys get to wear the jerseys on the pitch with daddy. Walk proudly, eventhough your dad didnt really play any big role in the victory. *sad smile*

Beckham Jr. : It's ok dad. You still have the looks, which i don't think it will last long until you reach your 40's.

Beckham Sr. : Come on son, your dad is the most handsome guy in the world. That's how i made my fame on the pitch. Will you be with daddy to the end of my football life?

Beckham Jr. : Don't worry dad, i will cut a few inches off my left leg just like you, and be the best set-piece taker like you too. I will play for Man Utd, Real Madrid, and i will end my career wearing the ever proud....errmm....what's that name? Oh ya...LA Galaxy.

Beckham Sr. : From this day forth we will wear this...

Grrrr.....

Searching for information on the web is definitely not an easy task, especially what you're searching for is so abstract and subjective.

Spent long hours searching for information.

Stressed. Brain burnt out. Not very productive.

One Day....

One day passed means one day closer to assignment deadlines.

One day passed means one day nearer to stepping into the market place.

One day passed means another problems of the day would come.

One day passed means getting older by one day.

One day passed means more responsibilities are loaded onto our shoulders.

~~~~~~~~~~After a little pondering~~~~~~~~~~
One day passed is a day closer to the coming of my Saviour.
One day passed is a day nearer that i can be in my Heavenly dwelling.
One day passed is another new experience with my Lord Jesus.
One day passed is a new beginning of another chapter.
Unsought
What i planned to achieve by today has not been achieved.
This is really frustrating.
Things have to get better. I pledge to make things better.
Sports Disastrous Weekend
What was going on with sports over the weekend?
First - Rafael Nadal beat Roger Federer in tennis. It was really unthinkable that Federer lost! How can you Mr. Fedex? I was hoping that you beat that Spaniard fellow.
Second - Ferrari only managed to get 4 points in the Canadian GP! and that Hamilton boy is going to be the next Schumacher? Dominating every race? Please say no. I would love to see someone stop that Hamilton fellow.
Third - FC Barcelona were on the verge of being one step away from the La Liga championship! But only to find out after the match that Real Madrid also drew. What a "steam-cutting" for the defending Spanish champions. But i prefer Real Madrid winning the Championship than the Catalan fellows.
So, last week was really a "potong-stim" moment for the sports field. Well at least to me. What i thought would happen didn't happen.
Music
I am not very a music person. But i can't deny the influence and power of music. Music sets the atmosphere to our soul. How many of us have watched a sad drama and cried? Many cried because of the music, not because of the lousy acting. Without music, life would be so monotonous. But music adds rainbow to our lives.
Sometimes when i feel sad and down i would just turn on a sad song and listen. Sometimes songs squeeze the tears out of my eyes. *embarrassing* But i still thank God for this wonderful element that He has put into our lives.
Pak Lah to wed!
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi will be married to Jeanne Abdullah! Ok not much of a publicity on this. Only told the public few days before the wedding. Getting married after not more than 2 years of the passing of his wife. Okay something i'm suspecting here. Jeanne is the housekeeper of the PM residence. Sure bodek bodek abit lah! Some more the wife passed away already, and he's the PM of Malaysia. Nice try Jeanne. But anyhow, congratulations Pak Lah!
Regretful Confidence
It's better not to be too sure or confident about something, until you make it public and everyone knows. Something might happen in the future that will make you change your mind.
Recently i just did something that i was so sure i wouldn't ever do it. *slaps forehead*
Something Only Life Teaches
If we're sensitive enough, our life journey always brings something new about us that we didn't even know ourselves. Life teaches us who we really are.
As i reach to the university level in my life, i found out that, i actually like work. Not to say i'm a workaholic, but somehow i prefer doing something than not doing anything. I don't like the feeling of sitting at home, watch tv, eat, and sleep. But i enjoy the assignment adrenaline and pressure.
I always look forward to a new semester, mainly because i look forward to doing assignments. It's weird of me, but i just love the challenge, the pressure, the force that keeps me thinking, and doing, and thinking, and doing.
So i'm making sure that i do well in my assignments, and treasure every minute of doing assignments with my wonderful group of members.
A Lesson in a Day
I was doing some thinking for myself and i came back to the thought that i had a few years ago. Why do people say they feel bored?
Why do we feel bored when we have Jesus who says to give us life and life abundantly? In fact we Christians should enjoy life to the full, because Jesus is our life. And in Him there is fullness of joy!
Therefore i'm about to take a big risk in my life : "Never to say or feel bored."
Because Jesus is the source of life who gives life abundantly and in Him there is fullness of joy!
European Delight
The wait is finally over. We all now know who the King of European football is. It was a night of remembrance for The Rossoneri as they killed off Liverpool's European dream by giving them a tasty 2-1 defeat.
Rossoneri has been always the team that i admired. Although i support Chelsea now because of Shevchenko (hope he goes back to Milan so i can safely support Milan, LoL). Rossoneri, although quite aged in years, with many players over 30 years of age, but they still play really good football. With flair and great vision, plus their technical ability and years of footall experience, they can certainly triumph at any stage of football.
I saw this in Soccernet, "At the end Kaka slumped to his knees in the centre circle and prayed to the heavens while Inzaghi was enveloped in a sea of white shirts." Now that's a faith that is worth commending. Kaka has been a strong Protestant since young. With great faith and moral stature, he sets a good example of a Christian sportsman. He lifts both his hands up to heaven and give God the praise everytime he scores a goal. While giving glory back to God after winning the Champions League, in front of approximately 90,000 people, will certainly let them know that in Christ we can have victory!
Bravo Chelsea
Hail the FA Champions! It was really a satisfying match. Not just because Chelsea beat Manchester United, but seeing Chelsea played their game well was already comforting. Becoming the first winner at the New Wembley was fantastic.
Well i don't have much thoughts on this, so i'll just end it by saying, Bravo Chelsea!
My Contemporary Thought : Psalm 1
Psalm 1 :
1 - Favour is upon him who does not follow what the wicked says, or make himself a green light to the works of sinners, or say to mockers: we're a family!
2 - But he holds tight to the safety jacket while swimming, and wouldn't want to let go even if he spends the whole day and night in the sea.
3 - He will be like living in his dreams, where he does not need to worry about survival, food, or shelter. Everything he touches turns to gold.
4 - But the wicked are like the dust, which people blow and wipe away.
5 - Saddam Hussein, though he was rich and powerful, but in the end he had nothing.
6 - While Billy Graham, God gave him a life that was influential and impactful not only to the kingdom of God, but also to people in the world.
A Lesson in a Day
It has been happening since a long time. Even when i was very young it happened. And it still happens now.....
I was in a MetroBus, on my way home from KLCC. Man, that was one heck of a ride. A roller coaster bus ride. First, the driver drove as if he was blindfolded. Second, the driver drove as if he was deaf which he couldn't hear the honk! Third, it was as if there were no other passengers in the whole of Malaysia.
Recklessness is now becoming more famous among bus drivers. Their attitudes of driving are really a pain in the heart. Sitting in that kind of situation is really not a very good cup of tea. Although buses are big size, i know, but that doesn't make you the "tai ko" of the road. Please show some respect to other drivers.
On the other hand, everytime when buses reach a bus-stop, they always want to fight for passengers with other buses. They would even scold you when you don't get up their buses. That showed me one thing. Transportation businesses are now even more competitive. That's true. With so many more public infrastructure companies coming into this silly market, fighting for passengers is like fighting for a breath of life.
It's just so scary to me, being a person that wishes to succeed in the world of business. I repeat, WISHES. So the future is not for me to decide. But honestly, i feel afraid. Even the bus business is so competitive, imagine other markets.
It all doesn't matter, some trust in chariots and horses, but the name of the Lord is what i will trust if i were to go into the business world.
Endurance of Wait
Waiting, is a torture,
Period of waiting, is a torment.
But joy and gladness they both arise,
When what has been waiting for comes alive.
Hence, to wait or not to wait,
Or should we leave it to fate.
To endure the pain of time,
Which is as sour as a lime.
What drives us to wait?
A faith that believes in miracle,
A hope that sees the invisible,
A love that conquers the impossible.
A Mother's Love
A MOTHER'S LOVE
A Mother's love is something that no one can explain,
It is made of deep devotion and of sacrifice and pain,
It is endless and unselfish and enduring come what may.
For nothing can destroy it or take that love away,
It is patient and forgiving when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters even though the heart is breaking .
It believes beyond believing when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty of the rarest, brightest gems .
It is far beyond defining, it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret like the mysteries of creation .
A many splendoured miracle man cannot understand,
And another wondrous evidence of God's tender guiding hand.
~Helen Steiner Rice~
I can say proudly and confidently that my mother is one of the most precious gifts that God gave to me. Putting me into this family with a great mother like my mom is a joy and blessing that is beyond description.
My mom has done many things for me. Sacrificed even her own benefits for the sake of this silly child...me. But what can i say, besides God's love, no other love can compare to a mother's love. Putting me into the best education, bringing me up with tender loving care. It will take such a long list to contain the love and deeds that my mom gave to me. But above all deeds, one that i can never thank her enough is...disciplining me in the direction of God, bringing me up in the fear of God, and teaching me to trust in the love of God.
May God bless you mum. May God give you good health. May God enrich you in every possible way so that you may be doing greater things for the kingdom of God. May i, your only child, bring you much joy and happiness in life, as God continues to direct me in His righteous path.
I love you Mummy!
Love and Marriage
A student asked a teacher, "What is love?". The teacher said, " In order to answer your question, go to the wheat field and choose the biggest wheat and come back. But the rule is: you can go through them only once and cannot turn back to pick.".
The student went to the field, went through first row, he saw one big wheat, but he wonders....may be there is a bigger one later. Then he saw another bigger one... but may be there is an even bigger one waiting for him. Later, when he finished more than half of the wheat field, he started to realise that the wheat is not as big as the previous one he saw, he knew he has missed the biggest one, and he regretted. So, he ended up going back to the teacher empty handed. The teacher told him, " This is love... you keep looking for better ones, but when later you realise, you have already missed the person...."
"What is marriage then?" the student asked. The teacher said, " In order to answer your question, go to the corn field and choose the biggest corn and come back. But the rule is: you can go through them only once and cannot turn back to pick." The student went to the corn field, this time he was careful not to repeat the previous mistake, when he reached the middle of the field, he picked one medium sized corn that he felt satisfied, and came back to the teacher. The teacher told him, " This time you bring back a corn.... you look for one that is just nice, and you have faith and believe this is the best one you get.... this is marriage."
* Marriage is not a one day or two day thing...choose your right partner and don't regret later. Take your time and get what you really want, and when you are in the marriage, stay in it and don't compromise. Understand each other and go through life together *
