In-security Guard?

I'm starting to wonder are security guards really needed in banks?

Recently i heard a news that a bank got robbed. And the security guard was shot. Well it wasn't the first time bank robbery happened.

For goodness sake! What's the use of security guard when robbers are still gonna rob the bank anyway? Might as well don't hire a security and avoid one life being lost.

Or maybe hire more security guards and place them all over the bank. But banks are very conscious of cost. I dunno lah!

Maybe create a ceiling submachine gun and hire a guard to operate it behind closed doors. LoL

US Presidential Election

So the US Presidential election is coming near. Barack Obama won in Iowa ahead of John Edwards and Hillary Clinton. I think it was a tight fight between them.

There are many candidates such as the ones mentioned above, plus Mike Huckabee. It's hard for us to keep in touch with every news concerning the election and the policies that these different soon-to-be US Presidents intend to implement. At least i tried to keep in touch with the news, but failed miserably.

I do believe that every government is established by God above, whether or not we say they are good governments or bad ones. If you ask me whether Saddam Hussein was also established by God? I would say yes. God would use his wickedness to fulfill the plans He has for this world.

What about my good friend Bush? He was definitely established by God too. His opponent John Kerry was set to win the election, but in the end Bush turned out to win his second term again. If Bush didn't become the President, there might not be wars or rumours of wars, as mentioned in the Bible. So now you believe every government is established by God?

So whoever wins in the coming US Presidential election is someone established by God too. I would vote for the one whose principles are Godly principles. Many candidates say they are Christians, but i would not believe that because doing and saying are completely two different things. Let God search their hearts. May America get a President of God's desire.

Farewell Datuk C.

So Datuk Chua has finally resigned from all political posts. I would it's a loss to see him leave, but on the other hand i think it's an appropriate action. Datuk is a man who is responsible and dare to lift up, and put down.

Datuk himself said he did not make the tape. So this makes me think that it was either the lady in the tape who purposely made it, or other people who wanted Datuk to step down made it.

You know all the incidents like the BERSIH and HINDRAF demonstrations, and now the sex tape, happened at the very end of last year to impact the coming general election. Why in the world did the BERSIH and HINDRAF only demonstrated end of last year? And why the sex tape only came out beginning of this year or end of last year, when it was made few months back? There is a purpose for this.

When you are a politician everyone is watching you. When you are aggressive and difficult, people will do whatever they can to bring you down, yes even if it takes them beyond the line. So if you want to be a politician, you better be careful with your actions and everything you do.

But above all i wish Datuk Chua all the best in his retirement years. Maybe he could find something that he likes doing. And 110% all the best to the next Health Minister, hope you can break the curse, if you can.

The Curse of Ministry of Health?

Not sure if you have watched the news or heard about a sex DVD featuring one of our nation's politicians.

But Datuk Seri Chua Soi Lek has confessed that he was the man in the sex tape. That really disappointed me.

So far Datuk Seri has done quite a good job as Health Minister of Malaysia. I kind of liked him being the Health Minister as he is a doctor and...he has done a not-bad job. But too bad his character did not match his work performance, as i thought it should be.

I guess there is a curse in the position of Health Minister in Malaysia. Every Health Minister did not serve the post for more than 5 years. Except for Dato' Chua Jui Meng, who served for 9 years. But the rest of the previous Ministers only served not more than 5 years and they either got sacked after that, or something happened that made them resigned.

I also kinda guessed that Datuk Seri Chua Soi Lek would not have this job for more than 5 years. And i think i guessed it right this time. But we'll see what is his decision after this. He might continue or he might not.

Pray that our political stability will be blessed by the Lord.

New Year, New Beginning

I was thinking about my years yesterday night before i slept, and flashing back throughout my 21...oops i mean 22 years of life.

Can't believe i'm now 22 years old. I never really had this feeling that i'm old, until yesterday.

Have you ever thought of how you were when you were in primary or secondary school or even during pre-school? Have you ever compared yourself between the old times and the present time?

I was laughing at myself thinking how silly i was during the 3-tier schooling life. From kindergarten until secondary school. Laughing at the silly things i did and how i would change the circumstances with my present mentality or maturity. But i laughed in such a manner not to disgrace, but i was laughing with a sense of gratitude.

A sense of gratitude thinking that the differences between younger days and present show that there is progress and there is growth. Whether mentality or any sort. Imagine if there is no growth we might now still be acting like the way we did when we were much younger.

So i thank God for growth. 22 years of life have been fun, with alot of hard times only to help me be better.

I don't really have new year resolutions like some people, because i know i can't keep them. LoL. But my resolution is always the same every year : that is to do my best everyday of the year.

What i'm looking forward in 2008 is basically very normal. I don't expect anything special in 2008. But the biggest hope is that i can finish my final year smoothly, because there are very tough subjects that i have to face. Why did God create exams in schools? LoL.

I have one more year before i decide what i want to do at the start of my career life. Oh Lord help me.

I end with a blessing to all my family and friends, wishing them a great year 2008. I always believe every year can be better, because with God, the best things are always ahead of us, no matter what circumstances we go through.

+vity

At some point in time we face certain changes. Sometimes good sometimes not so good. Circumstances like seeing a friend leave, experiencing a failure etc. You can name it yourself.

But i'm always encouraged by the saying that goes : " You can choose to go through hard times either with a positive state, or a negative state". Which goes to tell you that : "Hey! With sadness and self pity, or with confidence and optimism, you can still go through hard times". So why not choose positivity when we go through hard times? Isn't it better? Besides, positivity can heal you faster than negativity.

So always be positive. I know it's hard. But...try, ok?

Respectable Footballer

I don't usually write about football stuff here. But one incident happened made me not just to think about it but to write it.

New FIFA World Player of the Year, Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite, or better known as Kaka, is one exceptional footballer.

Previous winners of this glamorous award such as Zidane, Cannavaro, Ronaldo, or Ronaldinho, are still great footballers and have earned my respect. But for Kaka, i can't help but to give him a double salute.

I was watching the FIFA Gala Award Ceremony, and saw how Kaka won the award. I listened to his short less-than-one-minute speech and i felt really amazed. Kaka said nothing but - " I only dreamed of playing for Sao Paolo and play just one international game, but the Bible says God does things more than our expectation, and that is what happened to me". That's it! So what did he say in this short speech? - I am just a nothing but God is my everything.

Kaka's dream was just a sand in God's eyes. Instead, God gave Kaka every football award under the sun : World Cup, Champions League, Serie A titles, Club World Championship, European Player of the Year, FIFA World Player of the Year, and many more.

I can see that what Kaka did was just 3 things. In his heart the priorities in sequence are : God, Family, Football. That's all. No parties, no clubbing, no advertisement or public glory can interest him. He only focuses on technical skills and not advertising skills like Beckham (who can't play any football nuts). He plays simple football such as simple passes, simple dribbles, and shots. Unlike other footballers who want special skills and tricks.

Kaka is one exceptional footballer on and off the pitch. The future evangelist is the footballer that i respect the most. More than Shevchenko or Ronaldinho.

Bravo Kaka!!

Good, Bad, Ugly?

People these days are very good at marketing.

I was at the PC Fair, just walking around looking for laptop with my dad. There were so many people and that place was crowded.

But what was amazing was that, most promoters put on very very sexy clothings, and they actually could attract some customers. Some even wore just a short tube and very tight shorts.

You can argue that it was a terrible thing to do. But let me remind you that it was an effective way of getting customers to you. Most of the customers actually responded to them, and they were "busy" promoting their products (PC stuff lah!!).

So is that a good thing to do? Let me remind you again, it was an effective way that those people used to do great promotions.

The verdict is yours. Ethical or unethical, you have your own answer.
