The MCA Presidential election has been on quite a journey. Both Datuk Chua Jui Meng and Dato' Ong Tee Keat do have great manifestos to bring about change and brighter future for MCA, Chinese, and the nation.
Manifestos will still be manifestos and will remain a piece of trash talk if fruitfulness and productivity do not come about. We want to see results. What you claim you will do will only be seen after and if you do them.
But in this election, i brush off the manifestos aside. What we should look into is the character of potential presidents. In this case, i support Datuk Chua Jui Meng.
The main reason is he is a born again Christian. Back then while he was still a minister, he wasn't a strong Christian. Until he was sacked as Health Minister, he stopped politics for 3 years. During those 3 years, i thank God that God has shown Himself once again to him and has changed him. Right now he is a tough character. A person more like God, and has guaranteed to be God-fearing in his MCA leadership.
Nobody has ever done anything like him: Standing in front of the public, with his right hand lifted, and proclaim that "I will not be corrupt!".
Tell me, it takes a man and guts to swear that in front of the public. That is the leadership we long for in this 21th century. Someone who has integrity, courage, and most importantly, the fear of God.
We are lacking people like Datuk Chua. That is why i fully support him as MCA President. May God continue to bless his endeavours.

Carefree!
Well, petrol prices decreased to RM 2.20. Not good enough for us. But grateful for the action.
Other than that, i've just started by final semester of the degree course. I really thank God for seeing me through my 3 years of studies at higher education. Studying in university is not easy, yet it is a privilege and i thank God for that.
I've enjoyed my 3 years of studies. Great friends and great experiences have i gained. Now, the step forward is the hard part.
Seeing the global problem, especially in the financial sectors, worries and anxieties arise. What a way to graduate! Graduating when the world economy is slumping! What a way to enter to the market!
Countries are now very pessimistic about hiring fresh graduates. Even my wish to work in Singapore is shattered when hearing news that Singapore is now in recession and will soon retrench a lot of Malaysians.
What makes things worse is that analysts forecast that year 2009 will be a more terrible situation! My goodness! I'm entering the market in 2009 and they're telling us that 2009 will be worse.
But you know what, i have always had faith in God. It's not that i am a carefree person, not worrying and thinking about things, but my faith in the Lord allows me to be care-less.
It doesn't matter if the global economy and market are rolling downhills. But i have faith that my future doesn't depend on the economy nor the market, but my future depends on the Almighty God!
It's not the world that holds my hope, it is God that holds my hope. And the best thing is, my God holds the world!!
So seeing myself graduating, after a hard-fought 3-year journey in university, i am truly grateful to God. Really, it was His grace and mercy that enabled me to complete my journey. While i look forward to entering the market, i all the more look forward to seeing what God can do in times of global difficulties like what is happening now.
In God I Trust!

Lower The Prices!
Woohoo! I'm happy that the oil price is now USD 76 per barrel.
Does it mean we will get back our RM 2.00 per liter petrol? I remember it was still RM 2.00 per liter when the oil price was USD 78 per barrel.
What if the oil price drops again? Will we get cheaper petrol price? Or the government will still decrease the price by 10cents? If so, then we're being cheated!
We want our RM 2.00 per litre back! If not cheaper!

Outstanding Person
Hari Raya is a special festival for the Malays to celebrate new year. A celebration that should be filled with fun, bonding, and forgiveness among families, relatives, and friends.
The streets of KL are so clear and empty, and everywhere is filled with immigrants! Mostly Bangla people, Indons, and some ASEAN countries people.
Different leaders also conveyed their Hari Raya greetings. And most of them wish to see a more united Malaysia, without racial and cultural prejudices. People like Najib, Samy Vellu, Ka Ting, Anwar, Karpal Singh, and Guan Eng all wished a more united nation.
But this stuntman, not only conveyed a Hari Raya greeting, plus he added that the government abolish ISA and free the Hindrafs and Raja Petra.
This stuntman is Lim Kit Siang. Everybody wished good stuff, this fellow, even during Hari Raya, still wanted to talk about politics and free people.
I salute you lah bro. Not afraid of what people think of him - his annoyance and irritation.
Good job stuntman!

Where Is Our Promised 15cents?
Today the Government announced a decrease of 10cents for the fuel price.
Hooray for that!...but wait!
I remember the government promised that they would reduce 15cents if the crude oil price remains low, or at least maintain. I remember the promise was made when the crude oil price was USD 108 per barrel.
Since then, the crude oil price has been going down, and most of the time stayed below the 100 dollars mark. Right now, at this time, the crude oil price is USD 105.43 per barrel. It's now below the USD 108 mark!
So why did we only get 10cents decrease? And not the 15cents? I am grateful for the decrease, i am really.
But i am just disgusted that the government promised something and could not deliver. 5 cents can make alot of difference.

A Better Tomorrow?
Sorry for this post, but i have to say this, that i am sad to see many financial companies, especially in the U.S. are having trouble.
Lehman Brothers has filed for bankruptcy, while American International Group (AIG), also faces financial difficulties and is taken over by the Federal Reserves.

AIG is the Group that sponsored Manchester United. But looks like Man Utd are still doing business as usual, no negative effect on them.

But i want to say this, we are seeing one of the worst financial slumps in history. Lehman Brothers and AIG are both great and big financial and insurance companies respectively. AIG is the biggest insurance group in the world, and Lehman Brothers is one of the big investment institutions.
It's sad to see the downfall of the world economy. We as futures of this world, are to enter our future seeing all these results. It will somehow affect our confidence, making us wonder what worse thing can happen to our future, career, children, and children's careers.
Hope to see a better future. It sounds ironic, because we all know the world is going to get worse, with the end time nears. But, we can still hope, we can.

Arresting The Wrong People Perhaps?
It's funny how bias and how unfair this nation and the government has become.
Teresa Kok and Tan Hoon Cheng were alleged to have caused "racial disharmony".
The one thing i really don't understand is how can a reporter, Tan Hoon Cheng, who was merely reporting on the news of Datuk Ahmad Ismail, be arrested? I agree with that Datuk Ong Tee Keat said. If Tan Hoon Cheng is to be arrested, let alone the starter of the racial disharmony, Datuk Ahmad Ismail.
Shouldn't he be arrested all the more? Just because he is a Division Head, and one of UMNO's members, doesn't mean he could get away with any arrest. The police only said they would arrest him, but nothing has happened.
Teresa Kok is also the MP, also one of DAP's members, and she is arrested for causing racial conflict. With no concrete proof.
Actually, both Tan Hoon Cheng and Teresa Kok have not caused big disharmony in this nation. I wasn't even aware of what Tan Hoon Cheng was reporting. But one thing i know, the whole nation knows abt the racist remark by Datuk Ahmad Ismail, and yet he was not arrested under ISA!
Where art thou justice? Where art thou?
I shall not comment too much on this kind of issue. Or else some of you will see me in papers being arrested under ISA also. But i really can't hide my feelings, there is little, or no hope for this country. May God intervene.

911 Memorial
Can we have a 1-minute silence to remember those who lived great, and died 7 years ago.

*1 minute passed*
Imagine it was a normal day. You went to work, thinking it was just another work-loaded hectic day. You stepped into the office about 9am and started doing your work, or at least started off with a cup of coffee at the coffee room.
Out of a sudden, you heard a *BANG!*. The whole building was shaking. People screaming. And you looked down, you saw smoke coming out from the floors under you.
It was one fine day, 7 years ago, when people thought it was just another working day. Little did they know they would end up, well, either in hell or in heaven minutes after two planes crashed into the World Trade Center in New York, and also the Pentagon in Washington.
The wickedness of the Al-Qaeda stunned the whole world. That incident changed the world, at least it changed the America. People became more religious. Churches became packed a few Sundays after the incident. Suddenly everybody cherished and treasured their families and loved ones even more.
A total of 2998 people died in both the locations of attacks. Close to 6500 people got injured. A few more missing. But millions and millions of hearts were mourning.
These kinds of incidents will happen even more. When the end time draws nearer, wickedness of people grows stronger. What are you going to do about it? What happens if something like that happens to you? Are you ready to go?

Today we remember those who lost their loved ones, those who braved themselves to save thousands of lives, and especially those who witnessed the incidents and have yet to know the Saviour of the world.
"Even though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff,
they comfort me."
Psalm 23:4
