Day 1: Palace of the Golden Horses

Finally, i got to see Chelsea players face-to-face!

Here are the updates: Joel, Salby, and myself reached Palace of the Golden Horses at 6.30pm! We were so gung ho. Didn't want to lose out any nice strategic location to meet the players.

However, we were told that Chelsea players would arrive at 7.15pm. But they reached at 8pm!

No problem. In the end we really came! Everyone was busy taking pictures and getting autographs. Situation was exciting! However, we couldn't get any signature, because the players had to go straight up to their rooms. But...i've got some pictures! Here they go.

Chelsea coach : Luiz Felipe Scolari

Michael Essien (My favourite midfielder)

John Terry (Chelsea captain)

Andriy Shevchenko

Michael Ballack

Scott Sinclair

Ricardo Carvalho (My favourite defender)

Deco

Florent Malouda (white t-shirt), and Ashley Cole (white t-shirt behind the blue)

Petr Cech, best goalkeeper in the world (white t-shirt)

Frank Lampard, everybody's favourite (white t-shirt)

That evening was really exciting! The wait was long, but in the end it was worthwhile. My first time getting to see them face-to-face. There were a few more pictures taken, but not so clear. So didn't post up. These are the few quality ones. More than sufficient! hehe

3 more days!

It's down to 3 days! Chelsea will be playing in 3 days' time!

But to me, my day starts tomorrow. Where i will be greeting them and meeting them at their hotel. They would be staying at Palace of the Golden Horses for their tour in Malaysia.

For members of Chelsea Supporters Club, privileges are given to members to greet them at their hotel. Yes only for members.

That's the time where we try to get their autographs and pictures. Hopefully i'm able to get some personal pictures with some of my favourite players.

So to me, my day starts tomorrow! All the way until Tuesday. Looking forward to the best days of my year.

By the way, they will be touching down at 6.30pm at KLIA (Sunday). So if you are gung ho about Chelsea you can catch them at KLIA at 6.30pm on Sunday, which is actually today, since it has passed midnight. But i'm writing as if it's on Saturday night. haha

5 - Michael Essien

Michael Essien, one of Chelsea's midfield heroes!

The number 5 of Chelsea is, i would say, the best midfielder in the last season. Compared to Ballack and Lampard, or even Joe Cole, Essien stood out the best.

Scoring critical goals and providing precious chances, Essien is the midfield engine for now. He is also one of my Chelsea favourites. Can't wait to see him play.

From Ghana, he was bought from Lyon by Jose Mourinho, and has since been an important player to the Chelsea squad.

With only 5 feet 10 (that's about my height), he is stronger than a 6 foot giant. He has recently extended his contract to another 5 years with Chelsea. That shows how committed he is and how serious he is to stay with Chelsea.

May he continue to flourish!

On the other hand, this evening was the Chelsea Fan Club meeting and briefing. We were given the training pass, and the tickets. Free gifts were given such as posters, mugs and lucky draws. Joel Wong was lucky to be drawn to meet with two Chelsea players at Pavillion on Monday! Lucky boy!

But i have to say that the training pass is really nice. Very professional and classy. It will really make you feel special!

6 - Ricardo Carvalho

6 days more to go!

The number 6 in Chelsea is something special. It is my favourite defender's jersey number - Ricardo Carvalho.

Ricky Carvalho, Portugese, is one rock solid defender. He can read the game well, intercept like nobody's business, and eventhough he's only 6 foot, he can win headers in the air. Everytime with Ricky playing in defence, i feel very secured. I know with him playing, Chelsea will have a defence fortress with less chance for the opponents to break in.

He was a Champions League winner with FC Porto, under the guidance of charismatic coach Jose Mourinho. He was brought to Chelsea FC when Jose Mourinho came over to the Bridge. It is no wonder why Jose Mourinho now wants to take him to Inter Milan, because his defending performance is uncomparable.

I really love this guy. Although he is now 30 years old, but i really hope he stays in Chelsea FC until the end of his football career. I really can't find any better defender than this guy.

No wonder even John Terry has to give way to this guy.

7-day Journey with Chelsea FC

This post will kick start my 7-day countdown to Chelsea vs Malaysia.

On the 29th of July 2008, Malaysian Football team will face one of the mo
st feared football clubs in the world in a friendly match.

As a privileged member of the Chelsea Supporters Club of Malaysia, i am given the chance to be with them all 3 days in Malaysia. I will be greeting them at their hotel on Sunday when they arrive in Malaysia, that is where the meet-the-fans session will be. Monday will be their training day, which i also have the privilege to see them train, and to witness for myself how they can be the great Chelsea they are now, which obviously our Malaysian team cannot be. Learning from their training session would really benefit me.

Tuesday would be the friendly match at Shah Alam Stadium, starting at 8.45pm.

From today onwards, we will embark together the 7-day Chelsea journey, where i will post different posts about Chelsea, pictures that i will take with them (hopefully), and different activities. Stay tune!

We'll keep the Blue Flag flying high!

Physical Changes

Some people get physical changes when they change their environment. For example, when you live in Malaysia long enough, and you suddenly move to another foreign country, especially in the West, you get fatter.

Some people grow fat because they are old enough to grow fat. When you reach a certain age your body grows......side ways!

This is a perfect example: (Right) My friend Benjamin before leaving for Dallas

NOW!

After 6 months in the States (The date is fake), look at his fats! He's lucky i couldn't get his whole body picture, otherwise it becomes more obvious!

When he comes back, which is soon, we will then see more clearly how fat he has grown.

Snippets

When i logged into my blog, i found some spider webs around. It has been left untouched for few days/weeks. I better keep in touch with my blog, otherwise i will forget what blogging is.

Just some snippets of some things.

1) I was watching the debate between Anwar and Shabery, and i thought Anwar did very well. Although he could make a promise to decrease the petrol price by at least 50cents if the Pakatan Rakyat forms the government, but talking is one thing, doing it is another. With the current oil price situation, i'm not sure he could do as much as he talks.

But i do credit him for giving strong arguments. Some things he said did make sense. How he presented himself convinced me why he is so charismatic to his supporters. Even i was almost attracted to support him. But i'm still holding back my support. Sometimes it's better to look at things independently without bias, this gives you good judgment and better understanding.

I also thought Dato' Shabery did well. Although he was clearly supporting the petrol price hike, but for a newbie like him, to debate against a giant politician like Anwar, is really not a walk in the park. However, being a consumer, and greatly affected by the price hike, i would still stand on the opinion that the price should not be increased so dramatically. Not easy for us to take it.

2) Two of nation's most influential people were detained. One is again, Dato Seri Anwar, who was "caught" to give his statement to the police, and another King Petra (LOL), who accused of Najib being the man behind the death of Altantuya. When you're in trouble, and you know who brought you trouble, the best thing is to shut their mouth. Raja Petra and Anwar were forced to shut their mouth for posting too much threat on the government. Anwar was on the verge of challenging the government to an election, and Raja Petra was on the verge of exposing more information about Altantuya. In the end both were brought into trouble.

3) One of the reasons why prices increase is the demand and supply. Petroleum is not a renewable resource, and the supply of it is getting less. However, the demand for petrol keeps increasing. Part of the increase of demand is the demand from China. China keeps the petroleum to themselves, with the hope that when petroleum really finishes, they have the advantage to sell to the world at a much higher price. This is smart in a way, but wicked in another way. It may not be wrong or illegal, but certainly not ethical. Right now we're already suffering, but China will bring more sufferings when we have to buy petrol from them at a much higher price.

Many things are happening, and what's worse is that, these things are not bringing benefit to people. But i really hope somebody will come out with the solution to give better life to us, probably inventing a car that runs on water!

Hoohaa and Hooray

In the first statutory declaration, Mr. Najib-accuser, Balasubramaniam said Najib was involved in the murder of Altantuya. The next day, Mr. Bala declared that his first statement was false. Come on, we're not small kids anymore Bala, how much did Najib pay you?

Sigh. I'm quite sick of the cashflow going around people's accounts in Malaysian politics. Maybe i should go accuse Najib too and get some pocket money from him, then i
belanja you all makan ok?

Nah, screw the politics of Malaysia. Let's go to some fun part of the news.

Maya Karin is finally getting married!! Woohoo!! wait, why am i so happy? It's not me getting married to her.

Maya is one of Malaysia's most gorgeous celebrities.

However, while everybody is happy celebrating Maya's wedding, somebody is crying in the toilet. Him:

Oops, wrong picture. I mean, HIM! :

Maya and Khairy were once alleged to have some closed-door relationship. To a point it was a big breaking news in Malaysia. I'm sure he's having his saddest day in his life. He might probably stage a protest in Kampung Baru.

This guy is always ghairah, i mean semangat about protests on the streets. He loves to protest. But this time i think he probably won't do that to protest Maya's wedding, because his father-in-law always tells people that want to protest:

Polis your head la! Don't know how much you paid the policemen already, using money from the people! Idiot you!

I'm Disappointed

Politics is an evil place. People deceive you, set you up, and crush your political career with wickedness.

I've been troubled by the new sodomy case of Anwar Ibrahim. This week he was supposed to challenge the BN on a new post, and 4 BN members are jumping over to the opposition. Guess what? This week he was alleged of sodomy.

In politics, especially nowadays, people set you up. This is not the first case. Remember the Chua Soi Lek case? People set him up just to kill his political career.

I have two thoughts on the Anwar case:

Number 1:
It can be the work of the BN, especially the leaders of BN, who set up Anwar on this allegation. Knowing that Anwar is going to challenge them, they paid that UNITEN guy, Mohd Saiful to put Anwar back in trouble and in jail. With this, the most influential guy in the opposition is down.

Number 2:
It could also be the work of Anwar himself. I was thinking, how in the world could Wan Azizah get the pictures of the Mohd. Saiful posing with some ministers? It might be a photoshop, or some sort. Think about this, if Anwar set up himself, he was just merely getting sympathy from the people. With all blame put on the BN, the people would think that BN is such bad and wicked government. The hearts of the people would then turn to the opposition.

Right now everything is very unclear. Only those who did it know what is the real truth. Definitely God knows everything. I'm just disappointed at how and what our politics in Malaysia has turned into. Setting up people, accusing people, paying people to hurt other people. These things have been happening long before, and are happening everywhere. But i feel that it has become more serious, and it is now over the line.

Like i said previously, the politics in Malaysia can only go one way: WORSE!

Now it is shown. I'm expecting more cases to come up. I'm expecting worse things to happen.
