No Time for Slackness

You have to agree with me, that these days the world is more demanding than ever. It requires perfection, not good. Everything has become more competitive and once you slack, you're gone.

Look at the world of football. Managers these days are sacked like nobody's business. In the older days, you seldom heard of managers being sacked. But these days, managers are sacked even if they have won championships.

For example the recent Inter Milan boss, Roberto Mancini. I don't see any reason why he should be sacked, as he has won the Italian title.

It doesn't matter what you have done for your employer, as long as you don't win ALL trophies, you're prepared to be sacked.

Competition has also been more fierce than ever. You can be replaced in just a flick of an eye. If you're not doing good enough work, someone may be waiting for your exit. In this case, someone better like Jose Mourinho could be waiting for Mancini's exit, even if he won the Italian title.

The world has become so demanding and competition is so fierce. One degree is never enough for a person now. At least two then only you can put a foot in the battle.

So buck up and gear up. There is no time for slackness.

Love What You Do; Love Work

I'm starting my second last semester soon. Ya, it seems kinda fast. I still remember when i was so worried about my PMR. But with just a blink of eye, i'm finishing my degree. Time flies, it just feels like i just finished my PMR.

I'm finishing end of this year, if everything goes well. By that i mean if my exams are all fine, no failures. By next year i'll enter the working world! I'm quite excited about it, wait, i mean i'm very excited about it.

Many people don't like to enter into the working world. People say working is stressful, no freedom, boring, tiring etc. The reason why people are thinking that way is because they have been brainwashed since young.

Not many people are excited about work. But thank God i love to work. I'm excited about entering the working world. The reason is this, you have to change your mindset to love work. As Donald Trump puts it, "you have to do what you love, or you'll gonna be miserable".

I find it true. If you do what you love, you'll do it as sport, you'll do it as fun stuff. You will enjoy doing what you love to do. If you change your mindset and keep telling yourself that you love working, you will get excited about work.

I thank God for Donald Trump. Reading his books has really given me much inspiration and much knowledge. He has helped me change my mentality about work and career. This is the same thing that i want to do.

Love what you do. Be excited about it. Fall in love with it. Even if it's your work. If you really don't like what you do, then go do something else that you love to do. It can be your work, or whatever. If you love what you do, you'll do it well, you'll do it great, and most of all, you'll have fun doing it.

Therefore, i'm excited about going into the working world. I look at working world differently from most people. I hope you'll do the same.

Try Again

Who said you can be Champions when you entered the finals the first time? Not all clubs can. Most clubs can't. It is just normal.

But one thing you must know, is that we gave the Champions a hell of a hard time winning. Till a point we even almost won the league, if not for a missed-captain-penalty. But hey, nobody is more painful than John Terry himself.

You really can't blame anyone for the loss. Man Utd can tell you that Chelsea deserved to be winners too. Both teams were equal. Just that one club had a little bit more luck than the other.

But it was all an exciting final. One of the best Champions League finals ever! One of Jose Mourinho's legacies: "the chin-up", don't ever give up!!

Because everything has good and bad....the good part is:

I'm an OFFICIAL Chelsea Supporter of Malaysia!!

That tells you i'm with Chelsea FC for the long run. Our blood is BLUE, and we will leave you never! We'll keep the BLUE flag flying high!!

Losing Bright Workforce

This is not the first time that something like this has happened.

I had friends who got very good results, yet they were not given scholarships or acceptance to any universities etc.

This girl got 10 A1's for her last year's SPM, and found that her scholarship was rejected! This scholarship so-called gives guarantees to those who got 9A's and above. Furthermore, her matriculation application was also rejected!

I really don't know what's happening with our government and their stupid quota system. 60% entry or scholarships must be given to bumiputras or something like that?

That's a very wrong strategy! You're taking in lousy students to perform lousily and to contribute lousily to the society or nation!

Smart students from the Chinese and the Indian community who are not given the chance for scholarship are going to overseas to study. Take for example Singapore. Many Chinese friends whom i know are studying in Singapore, and they are very very bright students!

They plan to work in Singapore after they graduate. So, many potential smarties are lost. Malaysia fails to retain bright workforce here.

Do you get what i'm trying to say? When a smart student goes overseas to study, most of the time he/she will continue working there. His/her contribution, which is so beneficial, will benefit the country there, not Malaysia anymore!

While in Malaysia, our brainless government keeps giving scholarships to bumiputras who are not even performing well. When they graduate, nobody is going to be benefited. Our country will keep moving backwards, it already is starting to do so anyway.

Where is your so-called "fairness" and "justice" to ALL Malaysians? I don't care about your bumiputras being the largest population or your "special treatment", what i'm saying is our government's policy is not benefiting this country. We're losing smart workforces!

Quite fed up with this kind of news. Losing smart students to countries overseas!

Truly A Blessed Nation

One small country has made it quite big in the Western Asia area. Its name is Israel. Surprisingly Israel, with a size of around 7 million people, has been growing dramatically in its economy. Posted a 5% increase in annual economic growth, this is almost compatible to Malaysia!

What surprises me more than other countries is that, Israel who is being oppressed constantly by the neighbouring countries, can still grow in their own domestic country. Wars are constantly hitting Israel, almost the whole world is against Israel, many countries have stopped their relations with Israel. But Israel is still growing and is eye-ing to expand to the global economy.

This is truly a blessed nation. Blessed with a great friend like the U.S., who has been constantly protecting Israel and helping them, Israel is really under a good hand of God.

Many economists say that Israel will have a hard time expanding to the global markets. I believe what they said is true. Due to the constant pressuring of the world against Israel, they might find it challenging to expand.

However, what i also believe is that, God will continue to be faithful to His chosen country. Nobody will be able to stop Israel from fulfilling what God has in store. I am also hoping God will bless the U.S. to continue to be strong so that Israel will be well taken care of.

The Pursuit of Happyness

There are many types of movies around these days. But watch this show, you will never regret.

It's called The Pursuit of Happyness. This movie came out quite a while ago but this is one show that i will keep watching. Listen to me now.

This movie is based on a true story of how a man in the 1980's, went broke, bankrupt, pennyless, and literally, everything-less.

His friends left him, his wife left him, people looked down on him. He was so broke until there was one time his bank account left USD 21.33. Plus he had to support his son.

This movie shows how his life was. Even though he was broke, no friends, no support, no place to stay, he persevered. He didn't give up. He went all over the place to make a living, at the same time doing an internship in Dean Witter Brokerage.

He worked 3 times harder than other people who were fighting for the job in the Dean Witter's. He didn't give up, being positive about everything, finally after all the hardships and hardwork, he was the only one who was offered the job of being a stock broker in the firm. That was what he called the pursuit of happiness. He later started his own investment company, and became a multi-millionaire.

I can't help but to cry watching this movie. How encouraging and how touching. You've got to watch this show to understand what i said.

There's one thing that i will never forget what he said, and this is one thing that i want to say to everybody as well:

"Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it"

New Monkey Came to the Limelight!

I remember Khairy Jamaluddin saying that bloggers are "monkeys". I find it so funny.

He doesn't know that if ALL monkeys are to pee on him, he would die of drowning!

Guess who just came to the world of monkey recently?

Tun Dr. Mahathir!! LOL

Welcome to the blogosphere! This is one blog that i would read everyday.

Unfair Football?

This is so unfair. Alan Curbishley (manager of West Ham United) wanted Manchester United to win the Premier League.

Where is justice and fairness in football?

What's the outcome?

Man Utd won 4-1, with first goal from 3 minutes into the game. Some more such a fake goal!

So unfair you Alan Rubbishley!! Purposely lose so Man Utd can win.

Finally, The Blues, has gone to, the Champions League finals!

The journey wasn't easy. No journey is meant to be easy. In life, as long as you have the hunger and the dedication, you can make history.

Today, Chelsea FC have set the history.

Avram Grant has also set the history by doing what Jose Mourinho could not. (But i still want Jose)

Good luck Chelsea in the finals. May your hunger for victory spur you on.

So cheer us on thru' the sun and rain, cos Chelsea Chelsea is our name!

Anyway, after the second leg semi finals, Joel and i went to eat bak kut teh in Sri Petaling at 5am. 5am my friend!! Who in the blue world would eat bak kut teh at 5am? Crazy fellas. Before eating we toured around Sri Petaling shouting and singing Chelsea FC to everyone, yes everyone. Including an Ah Pek who was doing morning walk.

This kinda thing can only do with an old friend like Joel. Cheers fellow Blues!
