How Much Should BN Win?

So, election is just around the corner. The government can just anytime announce the day of election.

From what i think, Barisan Nasional is still the best to be elected government. They have the expertise, the experience, and the ability to bring this nation higher. Imagine if Nik Aziz, Lim Kit Siang, or Anwar Ibrahim rule. Not sure if Malaysia will still progress, or go into a state of chaos.

However, just as much as i think BN is the best, i still wouldn't want them to win with a big margin. They have been over confident with themselves. Over confident of winning the 2/3 majority. When you see this confidence, you know that when they have power, they will misuse or abuse it. They will think they're the best and will never be defeated. Thus, they do whatever that is for their benefit (secretly of course).

So in my heart i just want the BN to win 51% of the election. Yes, just 51%. Not anything more than that, if possible. This is called check-and-balance. If they're in the state of 51%, they know they better be working harder, and doing better work. Any mistake would cost them a loss. This is how we, the people, can be the driving force of the government. If they are just at the border of governance, the rakyat can certain enjoy better things than what we have now.

51%...just 51% would do. I hope.

Careless Cole

Getting drunk with another girl is a never-to-do thing after you get married. The same applies to girls.

Feel sorry for Ashley, who in his carelessness, brought calamity on his marriage.

Treasure your loved ones.

Science and Technology

Science and technology is so advanced that it went beyond humans' imaginations. Over the past decade, science and technology has allowed mankind to choose the sex or gender of our babies. Is that for real? Yes it is. It is practical now.

Some arguments in favor with sex selection is that there needs to be a family balance. Couples choosing the genders of their babies claim that they need to balance their families. If you have daughters and no son, then you would want to have a son, thus "balancing" your family.

Second argument is that couples want to avoid genetically transmitted diseases, such as hemophiliacs. This disease can be avoided if you select the other gender. Therefore family quality is improved.

Third argument, which i think is silly, is that some families prefer males over females. Well i won't deny some people or countries are like that. This practice began down the history road.

Couples who have done sex selection using science and technology claimed that they did not destroy any live. Neither did they harm any life. Instead, they created a new life.

This situation is debatable. But whatever it is, i believe let's not fall away from the biblical principles.

God created man in His image. God gave special functions and roles to each of us even when we were in our mothers' wombs. While not forgetting both man and woman have equal access to God. For there is no favoritism. Life, in God's eyes, is futile. And He determines the direction of our lives, yes even getting a baby, whether male or female. God knows everyone even before we were created.

If God intends you to have a female, and you want a male, so you rely on science and technology to select the gender that you want. Isn't that disobedience in a way?

It doesn't matter how advance science and technology can go. It somehow doesn't mean any benefit to us if it can "thwart" God's plans for us, like selecting the gender of our fetus. Science and technology is not necessarily all good, it depends. For example this case.

War Against Terrorism

Some people say George W. Bush is a war criminal. Some people say he's the king of terrorism. Some, or many don't agree with his decisions on war on terrorism.

I think the decision to send troops into Afghanistan and Iraq is one of the best decisions he has made. You can have your own point on that.

But this is what i think about his decision. Sending troops to Afghanistan and Iraq would bring a message to the terrorist : "Hey, we don't take nonsense!!". Instead of waiting and defending from terrorist attacks at home, sending your troops to the terrorist territory is a better choice. Some say "attack is the best defence". Fighting against terrorists will give them a message that they don't take crap. And it's better not to play around with the world's biggest power. At the same time making the terrorist reconsider their decisions when trying to attack the U.S. again.

Of course, war can end innocent lives. But it can be a great way to bring a message that they don't take it lightly. Negotiating with terrorist is just a waste of time. They won't listen to you.

But if the war on Iraq could be handled with a little more systematic i think the U.S. could have had all their troops back from work by now.

So my assumption is this. Once Bush has stepped down after great 8 years of work, there'll be another terrorist attack on the U.S.. So it doesn't matter whether Mike Huckabee, or Romney, or Rooney, or Hillary Duff, or Ballack Osama becomes the President, be sure that he or she is prepared to face the attack. And my advice is this : Don't let the terrorists think you're a coward!!

In-security Guard?

I'm starting to wonder are security guards really needed in banks?

Recently i heard a news that a bank got robbed. And the security guard was shot. Well it wasn't the first time bank robbery happened.

For goodness sake! What's the use of security guard when robbers are still gonna rob the bank anyway? Might as well don't hire a security and avoid one life being lost.

Or maybe hire more security guards and place them all over the bank. But banks are very conscious of cost. I dunno lah!

Maybe create a ceiling submachine gun and hire a guard to operate it behind closed doors. LoL

US Presidential Election

So the US Presidential election is coming near. Barack Obama won in Iowa ahead of John Edwards and Hillary Clinton. I think it was a tight fight between them.

There are many candidates such as the ones mentioned above, plus Mike Huckabee. It's hard for us to keep in touch with every news concerning the election and the policies that these different soon-to-be US Presidents intend to implement. At least i tried to keep in touch with the news, but failed miserably.

I do believe that every government is established by God above, whether or not we say they are good governments or bad ones. If you ask me whether Saddam Hussein was also established by God? I would say yes. God would use his wickedness to fulfill the plans He has for this world.

What about my good friend Bush? He was definitely established by God too. His opponent John Kerry was set to win the election, but in the end Bush turned out to win his second term again. If Bush didn't become the President, there might not be wars or rumours of wars, as mentioned in the Bible. So now you believe every government is established by God?

So whoever wins in the coming US Presidential election is someone established by God too. I would vote for the one whose principles are Godly principles. Many candidates say they are Christians, but i would not believe that because doing and saying are completely two different things. Let God search their hearts. May America get a President of God's desire.

Farewell Datuk C.

So Datuk Chua has finally resigned from all political posts. I would it's a loss to see him leave, but on the other hand i think it's an appropriate action. Datuk is a man who is responsible and dare to lift up, and put down.

Datuk himself said he did not make the tape. So this makes me think that it was either the lady in the tape who purposely made it, or other people who wanted Datuk to step down made it.

You know all the incidents like the BERSIH and HINDRAF demonstrations, and now the sex tape, happened at the very end of last year to impact the coming general election. Why in the world did the BERSIH and HINDRAF only demonstrated end of last year? And why the sex tape only came out beginning of this year or end of last year, when it was made few months back? There is a purpose for this.

When you are a politician everyone is watching you. When you are aggressive and difficult, people will do whatever they can to bring you down, yes even if it takes them beyond the line. So if you want to be a politician, you better be careful with your actions and everything you do.

But above all i wish Datuk Chua all the best in his retirement years. Maybe he could find something that he likes doing. And 110% all the best to the next Health Minister, hope you can break the curse, if you can.

The Curse of Ministry of Health?

Not sure if you have watched the news or heard about a sex DVD featuring one of our nation's politicians.

But Datuk Seri Chua Soi Lek has confessed that he was the man in the sex tape. That really disappointed me.

So far Datuk Seri has done quite a good job as Health Minister of Malaysia. I kind of liked him being the Health Minister as he is a doctor and...he has done a not-bad job. But too bad his character did not match his work performance, as i thought it should be.

I guess there is a curse in the position of Health Minister in Malaysia. Every Health Minister did not serve the post for more than 5 years. Except for Dato' Chua Jui Meng, who served for 9 years. But the rest of the previous Ministers only served not more than 5 years and they either got sacked after that, or something happened that made them resigned.

I also kinda guessed that Datuk Seri Chua Soi Lek would not have this job for more than 5 years. And i think i guessed it right this time. But we'll see what is his decision after this. He might continue or he might not.

Pray that our political stability will be blessed by the Lord.

New Year, New Beginning

I was thinking about my years yesterday night before i slept, and flashing back throughout my 21...oops i mean 22 years of life.

Can't believe i'm now 22 years old. I never really had this feeling that i'm old, until yesterday.

Have you ever thought of how you were when you were in primary or secondary school or even during pre-school? Have you ever compared yourself between the old times and the present time?

I was laughing at myself thinking how silly i was during the 3-tier schooling life. From kindergarten until secondary school. Laughing at the silly things i did and how i would change the circumstances with my present mentality or maturity. But i laughed in such a manner not to disgrace, but i was laughing with a sense of gratitude.

A sense of gratitude thinking that the differences between younger days and present show that there is progress and there is growth. Whether mentality or any sort. Imagine if there is no growth we might now still be acting like the way we did when we were much younger.

So i thank God for growth. 22 years of life have been fun, with alot of hard times only to help me be better.

I don't really have new year resolutions like some people, because i know i can't keep them. LoL. But my resolution is always the same every year : that is to do my best everyday of the year.

What i'm looking forward in 2008 is basically very normal. I don't expect anything special in 2008. But the biggest hope is that i can finish my final year smoothly, because there are very tough subjects that i have to face. Why did God create exams in schools? LoL.

I have one more year before i decide what i want to do at the start of my career life. Oh Lord help me.

I end with a blessing to all my family and friends, wishing them a great year 2008. I always believe every year can be better, because with God, the best things are always ahead of us, no matter what circumstances we go through.
